Rhonda is a Director of Strategic Product at Optum with over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry with the last 11 years focused on Product Management.  She offers the unique ability to bring together both strategic business and technical expertise to solve customer and industry problems to include the migration to 5010, NPI and ICD-10. For the HRSA Uninsured Program on behalf of Optum, UnitedHealthcare and the Federal Government to administer claims payment for COVID Testing and Treatment of people without health insurance, Rhonda led the tactical execution of EDI Clearinghouse services for transaction intake with integrated transaction delivery to UHC for full roll-out from initial discussions to go-live in six weeks. Recognizing the strategic vision to accelerate interoperability, Rhonda was the driver for CAQH CORE Certification for both Optum and UHC with transition to consultative expert for subsequent certifications for the Enterprise.

Rhonda has extensive expertise around the HIPAA Transactions and processing while keeping a thumb on emerging technologies.  She is also a member of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI).
