Eric Grindstaff, Veradigm


 

Eric Grindstaff served in various capacities in the healthcare industry for over 25 years.  He is currently a senior business analyst and compliance analyst for Veradigm clearinghouse where I have worked in EDI for the last 12 years monitoring federal and state legislation, regulation, and policy, including Medicare and Medicaid, and commercial insurance communication channels for changes impacting electronic healthcare clearinghouse, identifying scope and critical elements to guide development efforts.  In his capacity with Allscripts, he participated with the Cooperative Exchange, WEDI, CAQH CORE, and served as the chair and co-chair of the Transactions, Code Sets, and Identifiers Workgroup for the North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance, Inc. from 2011 to 2020.  Prior to working at Veradigm, Eric served as a Consumer Protection Specialist with the Managed Care Patient Assistance Program (MCPA) in the NC Department of Justice, a Senior Process Analyst with Mid Atlantic Medical Services Inc., and a High-Risk Intervention Mental Health Technician with the Homecare Management Corporation following graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Eric currently serves as the Cooperative Exchange Secretary. He wishes to be re-elected to this position.

Crystal Ewing, Waystar

Crystal Ewing is the Vice President of Product Management at Waystar, bringing more than 25 years of experience in healthcare technology, product strategy, and innovation. Throughout her career, she has led high-profile industry initiatives and guided organizations through complex regulatory and technological transformations, including 5010, ICD-10, and the modernization of revenue cycle management. Crystal has served as a board member of the Cooperative Exchange since 2016.

Crystal is a forward-thinking leader recognized for solving complex healthcare challenges through the strategic use of technology, data, and artificial intelligence. Her expertise lies in designing intelligent, unified solutions that streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive measurable improvement in healthcare operations and financial performance.

In her current role at Waystar, Crystal leads cross-functional teams focused on creating innovative, data-driven products that simplify and elevate the revenue cycle experience across the healthcare ecosystem.

Within the Cooperative Exchange, Crystal serves as Past Chair and is the current Chair of the Policy and Procedures Workgroup and the Marketing and Communications Workgroup, where she continues to advance the organization’s mission of promoting standardization, efficiency, and collaboration across the healthcare clearinghouse industry.

Crystal is also an active and long-standing member of X12.org (and former co-chair within the organization), a member of HL7, and an engaged participant and former board member of WEDI (Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange). Through these roles, she continues to influence and support national efforts focused on interoperability, compliance, and innovation in healthcare data exchange.

Sean Kilpatrick, Availity


 

Sean Kilpatrick is a Vice President of Product Management at Availity. In this role he serves as the business and product strategy leader for Availity’s Intelligent Gateway and Clearinghouse product portfolio. In the past 15 years at Availity, he has held several roles in product management and strategy, serving as a portfolio leader for RCM, Pre-Service and Clinical product suites. Sean also held the role of Director of Product Management for RealMed, a revenue cycle management company acquired by Availity in 2010. Prior to that role he served in several operational, business and technology leadership positions in his 25+ year career in Healthcare IT.

Sean earned his B.S. in Computer Technology from Indiana University / Purdue University Indianapolis in 2002.

Most of my healthcare career has been directly related to the Cooperative Exchange mission and vision of creating a sustainable healthcare ecosystem by driving meaningful activities and changes to improve administrative efficiency, interoperability and the adoption of healthcare standards. My role at Availity directly support the mission through continual payer, provider and vendor engagement, and thought leadership at various user and industry events.

Genevieve Morris, Optum

Genevieve Morris is VP, Interoperability and Regulatory Strategy at Optum.  Genevieve is a a healthcare interoperability and regulatory leader who has worked across government, industry, and the standards community to turn policy into implementable practice. She currently serves as VP Interoperability and Regulatory Strategy at Optum, partnering with product, engineering, compliance and client teams to operationalize new rules (X12 upgrades, Attachments, ePA), to strengthen audit and accreditation rigor across our clearinghouse services, and support product development and launch.

Prior to joining Optum, Genevieve served as the Principal Deputy National Coordinator at ONC, where she led development of the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), and briefly served as Chief Health Information Officer for the VA’s Office of EHR Modernization, helping stand up the program and advance Cerner implementation and DoD/VA interoperability. Before federal service, she built the health IT policy team at Audacious Inquiry consulting on HIE governance, FHIR policy, and market strategy—co‑chairing the Carequality FHIR IG Policy Workgroup and serving on the Maryland HIMSS board. Genevieve has authored and co‑authored numerous publications on patient matching, disaster response HIE, interoperability policy, and payment reform.

She currently serves as an EHNAC commissioner and has previously served as a HIMSS chapter board member.  Genevieve has been involved in the Cooperative Exchange Industry Affairs, Emerging Trenda and Education committees.

Tracey Tillman, The SSI Group

Tracey Tillman is Senior Vice President of Product for The SSI Group. Tracey brings the following qualifications which align strongly with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities: With more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare data-exchange and clearinghouse domain, Tracey has consistently delivered strategic, regulatory, and operational leadership to organizations at the intersection of healthcare operations, electronic transactions and compliance.
In her current role as Senior Vice President of Product at The SSI Group, LLC., she oversees the development and management of clearinghouse operations, all X12 transactions throughput, compliance with HIPAA/EDI standards, corporate strategy alignment and developing revenue cycle solutions that align with payers, providers and patients with the goal of improving outcomes for all clients.


Prior to this, Tracey held roles including Senior Product Manager of Clearinghouse Initiatives, where she developed expertise in payer-provider transaction flows, regulatory change management, product/solution development, industry standards implementation and cross-payer clearinghouse integration.  Tracey has served in industry working groups/associations such as WEDI, X12, CAQH CORE, HFMA. Her track record shows that I understand not just the technology of EDI / clearinghouse transactions, but also the policy, governance and stakeholder dynamics that shape them.  

I am deeply aligned with the mission of the Cooperative Exchange to “promote and advance electronic data exchange for the healthcare industry by improving efficiency, advocacy and education.” I believe strongly in the cooperative model of member-driven governance and collective benefit, and I bring a mindset of ethical stewardship, transparency and collaboration.

Beth Wolskij, Office Ally

 

Beth Wolskij is Vice President Product, Clearinghouse with Office Ally.  Beth is a healthcare technology leader with over 25 years of experience in product management, payer relations, and corporate development. She has held executive roles at companies such as Passport Health Communications, Experian Health, Office Ally, PNT Data, UHIN, eSolutions Inc., Allscripts, CCH-Mediregs, MedSolutions, Health 123, Saint Thomas Hospital, and Dade County Public Schools. Beth is known for her ability to build strong industry relationships, optimize transaction workflows, and drive revenue growth.

Beth is a seasoned healthcare executive with deep expertise in EDI product management, payer relations, and clearinghouse operations. She has led strategic initiatives across multiple organizations, including Office Ally, Experian Health, and Allscripts, focusing on:

  • Product strategy, roadmap development, and technical debt management
  • Clearinghouse operations, trading partner agreements, and cost optimization
  • Market analysis, customer engagement, and industry leadership
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions and administrative workflows
  • Proven success in acquisition integration, strategic partnerships, and corporate development
