Industry Affairs Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the committee is to assure that member organizations are actively engaged and contributing to the industry advisory and rulemaking process to establish the value and position of the Cooperative Exchange in industry affairs.
Scope
The Industry Affairs Committee adheres to the applicable Cooperative Exchange bylaws, policies and procedures and reports to the Board of Directors.
The committee’s principal responsibilities are to:
- Review industry advisory/regulatory recommendations, reports, presentations, requests for information, and notices of proposed rulemaking to determine the applicability/impact to Cooperative Exchange members.
- As applicable, facilitate the process to prioritize and draft written responses representative of the Cooperative Exchange member organizations industry position.
- Submit committee responses/comments to the Board of Directors for approval and final submission and/or communication.
- Collaborate/coordinate efforts with other Cooperative Exchange committees as required.
